iriver T60 MP3 player hits Korea
iriver parent company ReignCom was showing off its T60 MP3 player all the way back at CES, but it looks like it's just now gotten around to actually releasing it, with the player first rolling out in the company's home country. While the pictures may suggest something on the order of a clock radio, it looks to actually be a good deal smaller, boasting a barely-useful 1.01-inch LCD display and an equally diminutive jog dial to handle all your control needs. Also on the small side is the amount of storage space, with 1GB and 2GB variations your only options. You will get your choice of white, black, or blue, however, with prices running between 99,000 and 129,000 won (or roughly $106 to $138).

Well i think it looks rather hot!
Well the black one anyway, not sure about the ridges but the triangle was a good idea

Yes, it looks hot, the ridges too, but the price is insane, eventhough it's an iRiver and therefore should be pretty good (sound etc.). You can probably get something like a 4 GB Sandisk Sansa e260 for the price of the 1 GB T60... and the Sansa isn't too bad either, has a waaay larger screen etc. And I doubt the T60 fits good into pockets with that Toblerone design. Good thing is the AA (or is it AAA) battery, I think that's its major selling point. No need to throw away after 2 years, neverending battery life... (simply put in a fresh battery).

I'm gonna guess that's a joystick, not a jog dial.
foo.bar @ Apr 30th 2007 1:29PM
Yup, it's definitely a joystick:

That looks so very original, like something iriver has never done before.

removable batts = sense.

I assume its in the shape of a Tolberone so an AAA battery can fit in it... right? Bleh.

Toberlone is iRiver's traditional design; its earliest products; eg iFP-100 series or iFP-300 series are all in this shape.

I used to own the 395T and loved the joystick. I was able to select album and songs without even looking at the screen. When they got rid of the joystick in the players following that, I knew it would be harder to navigate because it woudln't be as tactile. So I am now glad that the joystick is back.

G'day,
T60 4GB is for the way to go, but can any one tell me where I can get a good online deal in or to be shipped to Australia?
Cheers,
Joost

I can't believe no one mention warehouse123.com! They have the iRiver T60 for a low $104! I ordered many things from them and never had a problem, along with other people I know.

About Australian 4gb iriver t60's, they're available online at minidisc.com.au now ($168 not including delivery). I also emailed iriver and they say they should be available at JB HiFi now (best place for Sydney)

the prism style mp3 player is iriver's history!!
iriver had developed prism style and hit!!
