Sierra Wireless AirCard 875U now available on AT&T Premier
At long last, the wait for Sierra Wireless' AirCard 875U on AT&T is over, as the USB WWAN modem has just popped up on the firm's Premier webstore. Unsurprisingly, this 2.2-ounce portal to the world connects via USB 2.0 and provides interoperable service between BroadbandConnect and EDGE networks. You'll find all the quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA love you could ever need here, and while Windows 2000, XP, and Vista users are all taken care of, it looks like the OS X crowd will have to sit this one out for awhile. So if you're interested in hopping on the 3.6Mbps mobile internet highway, head on over to AT&T Premier with $379.99 (or $149.99 with a new two-year contract) ready to hand over.P.S. -Macs can get their 3G on with Sierra's Mac driver support here.
[Thanks, Jake]

"Software for Mac OS X will be available from the Sierra Wireless download site and should be available shortly after the device launches"
That would be http://www.sierrawireless.com
Take heart, Mac users... or invest in Parallels temporarily.

Starts at $19.99 for the "I'm a bloody moron" plan and goes up to $80 for unlimited ($60 with a voice plan on the same line or account).

My only broadband option is cable, and it's disconnected every time I try to get on. I reset my modem and get a few hours of VERY high lag, low b/w connectivity, and then it's down again.
This looks very interesting. I could play Halo2 via this thing and it'd probably be better than what I have now, plus it would actually work. (halo is why I don't use a satellite provider)
I'm paying 55/mo for cable service, why not fork over the 60 at this point for something that works?

Help...... I just bought the at&t 875U and it works great except when the data stops and your dead until you turn off and come back on. Have spent hours on the phone with tech support, loaded 6.6 version and even updated the 875U itself.
I know it is not the PC and I am in prime location for signal strength. I believe
it is something with the air card and the Vista windows.....is anyone having this
problem ??????

I just picked mine up today and it works great! I was scared it wasn't going to show up at the store by the time I left for vacation this Sunday The store called at 4pm and said the UPS driver just delivered it. I was the first in my area to use one. The software is pretty idiot proof, just hit the connect button after you plug it in and you're up and running.

I just purchased the 875u aircard with the two year agreement...they offer a free 30 day trial, so I figured what the heck!! I got it yesterday, installed it in no time and VOILA!! I was connecting at great sppeds in the boondocks of Maine where I have NO other affordable option for high speed at this time! I did a speed test and sure enough with only 3 bars of signal, I was connected at 2.5 mbps... SO FAR SO GOOD!! The Monthly fee is a bit pricey... but the fact that it can be used ANYWHERE is well worth it!!

Can you put a SIM card from a Blackberry into this thing?
