Jinke / HanLin iBook eReader revs to V3
With a name like the iBook eReader there's just no way a Chinese e-ink peddler like Jinke / HanLin could go wrong selling in the Ukraine, right comrade? Well, not unless they attempt to release in the US -- a country where the iBook trademark holds some weight -- which apparently is the intended destination for the €240 ($325) e-book reader. We can supposedly have high hopes for it, though, being equipped with a four-shade SVGA display, WiFi, optional touchscreen interface, and, of course, Linux. Expect this September or October. Or not.

I'm sure Apple has future plans for the "iBook" name.
I'm thinking Apple will build an eBook reader on the same embedded OS X platform seen in the iPhone.
It will also use the MultiTouch screen to make navigation natural and intuitive.
The iPhone also has a very high resolution 160 ppi screen which should produce very sharp text.
The iTunes store will also naturally expand into selling books and magazines in PDF format.
PDFs are already sometimes include with certain albums and box sets.
You can also do PDFcasting through iTunes for newsletters or magazine subscriptions.

If you look carefully, they're actually calling it the LBook (but with a small l). L for Linux, I suppose.

@Engadget
There was never any mention of an iBook...it's called the lBook (LBook) just like the previous versions...please try to read the news on mobileread.com more carefully next time.. ;)

Nothing new compared to sony's reader and similar devices. It is nice to have faster processor and more memory though (I would prefer to have bigger screen instead of proc power). The only concern is quality of the reader compared to sony product. In any case more choices and more competition are always better for consumers.
