Team Xtender's XCM BestTilt Xbox 360 mod caught on tape
The same folks who brought us the unfortunately less-than-impressive XFPS module have apparently busted out their own rendition of the ever-popular tilt sensitive mod for the Xbox 360's controller. Apparently, these folks tend to get their points across best via video, and Xbox-Scene has a brief clip of the XCM BestTilt mod fully installed and operational. The company claims that its tilt solution can morph your mundane controller to a motion sensing one in "five simple solders," and also mentions that its product ups the ante over the other guys by including a tilt controller chip and a replacement shell, too. Additionally, the "plug 'n play" term is thrown out there without much care, but we'd definitely take that one with a healthy dose of salt. Nevertheless, feel free to click on through to catch the currently unpriced XCM BestTilt in action.[Via Xbox360Fanboy]

wont be good unless game creators really took advantage of it. and they wont seeing as how its a mod.
The whole point of this mod is to use it in games where the tilt function 'could' replace certain commands, like the plane in the vid there.
There's already a ton of games where this tilt mod can be used, mostly racing or flight simulations.
ps3 has it built in and they still dont use it in games
still, it would be nice to have some stuff like COD3 on the ps2 where you jerk the controller to do a melee and stuff. thats awesome stuff that you have to program in. it will be cool for some flying games and stuff, driving gets buggy depending on how well the tilt works, just look at carbon for the wii. its an awesome mod, dont get me wrong, i just wish that microsoft had taken the initiative to implement it themselves.
If the game is OSS, like tremulous or nexuiz, you don't have to wait for other people to get around to doing stuff... And then, as long as you actually own your machine, platform is irrelevant.
I'd be happier if I could switch modes on the fly, instead of having to take the battery out, even if it meant a physical mod or soldering more wires to enable a button push sequence to de/activate.
