iRiver offers up Clix Cradle with speaker
With a pretty snazzy looking gadget like the Clix 2, you'd rather display it prominently than set it among all the papers, fast food wrappers, and other crap on your desk, so iRiver has come out with an affordable dock that does just that. And not only does the Clix Charge juice up and sync the pocketable PMP, it also sports a speaker on the bottom for annoying fellow mass transport passengers or providing tunes at a very small party. The 29,800 won ($32) accessory will hit Korea on the 15th, and we'd expect a stateside appearance to happen shortly after.

It not a dumb design. It's just a dumb poster.
It is used how it is pictured. The speaker is on the side. This is also evident by the flat end that goes on the table.

Whilst this dock is far more aesthetically desirable than the dock for the original clix, it lacks many of the features, such as the remote, and the alarm-clock style snooze button. Shame they couldn't have been integrated to this design.

Also missing the point that a dock is something you're just supposed to be able to sit the device into, not have to cram it in sideways.

Seems to mee like they need another one of those for the other side. That way it won't lean to one side and you can have stereo sound.

Assuming you have a Clix2...
Step 1: Go to Settings>Display>Theme>Rainbow
THEN... (yes there is more... there are a TON of wallpapers on this thing...)
Step 2: Go to Settings>Display>Wallpaper>(select which one you prefer)
Step 3: Enjoy the sweetness which is the Clix2! lol

I just got a Clix 2 on Monday, and a dock would be pretty sweet.
But yeah, I think the dock for the original Clix seemed more convenient, and the snooze button was definitely good.

What I think is a massive shame is the fact they put the USB port on the leg of the X that they did. If they just put it on the opposite end of the same leg, it would be so much more functional. For one, you wouldn't have the darn thing sticking out when listening to music, as it would be behind it. Secondly, it would enable you to put the Clix in the USB port and sit normally as it is in music playing mode. You'd just have to turn the device around the other way. It'd be alot better than the upside-down and backwards configuration it now has.
