GPS, Mustek's GPS 200 falls out of the ugly tree
Although it probably didn't hit every branch while plummeting, Mustek's GPS 200 doesn't do itself any favors in the attractivity department, and sadly, the specs themselves don't exactly come to the rescue. What we've got is a 4.2-inch touchscreen LCD with a paltry 320 x 240 resolution, a 200MHz Centrality processor, USB connectivity, a Li-ion rechargeable, SD / MMC port, and Desinator 6 navigation software that includes NAVTEQ maps of 30 countries in Europe. Additionally, you'll find text-to-speech abilities, an MP3 / video player, image viewer, and Windows CE.net 4.2 runnin' the show. Unfortunately, the fold-out GPS antenna leaves much to be desired, but considering the modest €249 ($335) pricetag, we'll give it somewhat of a pass.

... and hits every branch on the way down!
First suckers.
Somewhere someone has the data to show what market segment typically buys the "fugliest hardware" from any vendor.
RandomThoughts:
So why not just not leave it in your car? Or throw it in the glovebox when you get out? I don't even lock my car, and usually have my windows down 8-10" even if I do and no one has stolen my GPS. Granted I live in Philly, not NYC.
These days, $335 for a portable GPS is kinda expensive. Why not just go out and pick up a Mio C310X or something similar for $199? And the Mio's hackable... way better deal in my opinion. The only thing this has up on the Mio is the supposed TTS capabilities.
Sorry, it had to be said! That thing is not Dam Rokin! Bad Mustek!
does mustek ever make any products that look good? I'd personally rather buy the garmin 330 for less.
I will NEVER buy another mustek product as long as I live. I got one of their flash based video recorders and it was absolutely the worst, shoddy POS I've ever seen. It felt like a child's toy and had the resolution of a gameboy.
bah.
Aren't they a little dated in their design? Flip-out patch antennas, 200 Mhz processor, no SirfStarIII is so yesterday...
