BlueQ's unsightly Vibrating Bluetooth Wristband
There's no shortage of vibrating alerts available for your cellphone these days, and while the MBW-100 watch will kindly inform you of whose calling while still looking relatively stylish on your arm, BlueQ's simplified attention getter certainly lacks any hint of fashion. BQ Wireless has unveiled a stripped down wristband that simply sports an internal Bluetooth module, on / off button, and a Transfer button in case your cellphone won't automatically take over the cal from the device. Put simply, this wrist adornment shakes your arm when someone's trying to ring you up, and while this may be somewhat less noticeable than a blaring ringtone in the middle of a crucial interview, it's bound to be exponentially more embarrassing when someone informs you that your articulatio radiocarpea is buzzing uncontrollably. Nevertheless, it's slated to hit retailers in July for $39.95 if you're still interested.

So you can post a link to your web page of course.
...For those who want to cultivate that "I just got tagged by the wildlife society" look.
Of course you can make skins for it. They seem to be for tose working on their. "I learned cut and paste in kindergarten" look.
'whose' should be 'who's'-- c'mon, people.
Also you can mod it for a bluetooth torture machine.
ACTUALLY, this product is worth it's weight in gold. Here's why.
My first year of college I had a CRUMMY job! I had to wake up at 2AM and sit at the front desk until 7AM. I would just go to bed earlier and use the desk time to study, but how was I to wake up without waking my roommate? What I'd have to do is set an alarm on my iPod, and sleep with headphones. It wasn't very comfortable. With this device, you could set an alarm on your phone, set to vibrate, and wake without disturbing your roommate.
If I were a doctor who was on call a lot, I'd use this instead of waking up my spouse all the time.
It's too bad that it doesn't do morse. I'd love an excuse to learn it and have been looking for a headless way of doing two-way texting.
Why not incorporate this into a watch or something that people might actually feel comfortable wearing on their wrist?
There are watches that do this.

blue Q is trying to do less. As a beeper and or silent alarm I think this is brilliant.
Hey! If this shakes more than a normal phone, I'm all for it. I also have deaf friends that would really find this useful. Cool!
This is different from a watch in that you can probably sleep with it on.
Can I put it on my ankle? Or just stick the innards into a shoe?
cool device!
"who's calling" not "whose calling"
That watch is $250.00. I think it is cool. My sister can't wait to get one. She always has her iPod going and misses a huge amount of her calls. My cousin who is deaf says this will be great when she gets a text message.
It is ugly! But how would you rather it look?
I wonder how easy it would be to hack the interface and put it to other (cooler) uses like having your computer buzz you when an email arrives, when an RSS feed updates, or when you have an appointment on your calendar.
