Unfortunately, there are rumors that the miniOne is meant for the Chinese market, and a phone-less version is meant for the rest of the world... If this is true, the 3G support will most likely be for the Chinese market and the device will probably only be tri-band GPRS (no EDGE)!
Also, it uses Windows CE 6.0 OS at its core, not Windows Mobile 6.0- this is similar to the Neonode N1/N1m (CE 5.0) and N2 (CE 6.0), meaning that the UI will be custom (a good thing), but most WM apps will not work (a bad thing).
Let's see what happens :)

Hey tnkgrl, I m a Chinese, and I m expecting M8 as well, i just read some information from Meizu Chinese official Forum.
Actually the real situation is just the opposite from the one you got.
Wifi will be banned softwarely on the M8 sold in the Chinese market because we have the law restricting the wifi products in Chinese market... ('coz our government was trying to develop a new set of wireless... although no one knows when that will come -_- |||...)
Hence only the overSea market can get the whole-features version... we, because of the weird law, have to go to the international website of Meizu and get the software update to unlock the banning of wifi... but clearly Meizu made it easily to be unlocked, haha.
The device is aimed at gamers and TV watchers, generating a 3D image with use of a pair of 0.7-inch OLED panels, which each display separate images, doing away with the ghost imagery that often comes along with 3D displays.
