It looks like Korea's major manufacturers are starting to get some big breaks in Japan; first it's Samsung busting
out a slew
for Softbank Mobile, and now LG's showing its SIMPURE L2 on NTT DoCoMo. The L2 is just the latest in the SIMPURE series
, offering simplicity (by Japanese mobile standards) without sacrificing style. The L2, then, certainly fits the bill on account of LG's collaboration with industrial designer Gwenael Nicholas -- the dude that designed the Game Boy Advance. Features include 3G data (naturally), compatibility with NTT DoCoMo's WORLD WING global service for travelers, and a 1.3 megapixel cam in a 17.6mm thick body. No word on a release date, but folks will be able to check it out in early July at Tokyo's "Touch & Love DESIGN" expo.
