Dean Kamen *wishes* the Segway had nearly this impetus. While IT/Ginger/Segway had tremendous hype with "little" follow-through (think "Snakes on a Plane"), I don't doubt the iPhone will sell out in minutes and be impossible to find for months. If you thought finding a Wii was bad, trying finding an iPhone.
This will be a revolution, but it won't be like the Segway. :)
How fast something sells out means nothing when there aren't very many to begin with. Btw how many applications make use of the multi-touch screen,other than picture resizing?
