Iriver's M10 busts loose as the NV PMP navigator
The iriver NV -- as in NaVigation, initially outed as the M10 -- is now up and official. Chances are, if you're in the market for a PMP, the NV's got your needs covered. The 7-inch, 840 x 480 LED backlit LCD packs T-DMB television; SiRF III GPS; 2 SD slots (1 reserved for navigation maps presumably); a USB 2.0 host jack; FM transmitter; a "GPS Camera" which presumably GPS tags its 1.3 megapixel photos; and plenty of media support including OGG audio and DivX video among the usuals. All that in a sleek slab of kit which will more than likely never leave the S.Korean market in its current form.

That is a thing of beauty!

Is there any chance of it coming to the US/UK?

Saaaayyy... that's a nice camera. Could it take decent images of, say, something 2.5 miles away? Let's say, hypothetically, across a Demilitarised Zone? Yeah, I think S. Korea is gonna need all the IRiver M10's they can get their hands on for a few years. So, you'll just have to make due with something not so concealable or capable, like an iPod or something.

Does anyone know...
I'm going to Japan in a couple weeks. I notice that many of these weird Korean gadgets are outed in the Akihabara News (obviously in Japan).
Can you get these gadgets (in general, not this specifically) in Akiba? And is there any issue in bringing them back to the US?

Absolutely gorgeous. That bulgy knob seems to make it decidedly not pocketable. It better come with a real nice leather case, because that thing will be scratched to oblivion in my backpack.

I'm going to have do some importing. I'm going to have to import myself into S. Korea.
