We let you know about the SlingLink Turbo 1 Port from Sling earlier this month, a device which uses your home power cabling to route a Sling signal around your house, and now the device should be officially shipping.
The four port variant is already out at retail, and today you'll be able to spend $99 on
the single port variant -- instead of $149 for four -- to get a single device (
Sling would probably suggest a
SlingBox) in another part of your house all networked up.
Interesting, A one port? well- i purchased a one port from netgear several months ago- it was the HD version, it worked- but generated so much heat I didn't dare leave it plugged in when I left the house for fear it would melt!
I purchased slinglink 4 port and that is an A+ pruduct all the way. Don't get me wrong, under heavy use, it will feel slightly warm to the touch , but never hot like netgear.
Hum! Can I just by the receive hubs (1 or 4 port)? I already have the sender connected to a router and don't need another. If yes, how much less are they?

Bah! Release the SlingCatcher already!
Orb will do just fine for me, thanks.
looks like the top/light on my old fishtank.
/that is all

Does anyone know if this is Sling only? That looks like a standard rj45 jack - could you run a regular network connection through the power lines with this device? If not, does anyone know of such a device?
dragonbones-
this is not sling only. I have one end hooked up to my linksys router in the office and the other end is anywhere in the house i need it- and that's how I share my internet connection without wifi and drilling a hole in the wall to install cat 5/6.
