Musical Tesla coil plays Super Mario Brothers theme
After the robotic giraffe, a Mac running XP and this guy's second Zune tattoo, you probably thought there was nothing left to see, but then along comes a giant Tesla coil that creates a "resonant frequency" and plays the SMB music to a crowd of onlookers. No word on if it knows "Signs" or not. Check the video after the break.

LOL Way to read the notice at the bottom there. Just kill his hosting service again, and make him have to pay MORE MONEY to keep it up!

What's the song at the end? Sounds like an Ozma song...
Anonymoose @ Jun 21st 2007 1:31PM
Hey, that last song is the Tetris theme from Game Boy. It is an old Russian folk song called Korobeiniki which Ozma did a cover of on Double Donkey Disk (I think it was that album, it's been awhile since i listened to Ozma). The song actually has a lot of history behind it, just check out Wikipedia.

Cool, thanks a lot for that info. I suppose since I was never a Tetris fan, I wouldn't have caught on to that. I too have not listened to Ozma in such a long time that it took me quite a bit of round-about internet searching to just recall their name. Strangely enough, All Music Guide doesn't link Ozma with Weezer, either as sounding similar to or influenced by them. Oh and Ozma broke up a few years back.

Originally these things were designed for energy transmission over long distances and levitation... Oh Tessy old boy! See what they can do NOW!! Huzzah!

Ion tweeters have been around for a while. Here's an example of a modern one: http://www.enjoythemusic.com/Magazine/equipment/1002/acapellavoilin.htm

These Tesla units sound better in my opinion. Plus, they can play the "Weird Science" theme. :)

I just saw the first speaker without any moving parts, and thus hopefully the future of speakers.
