wow this one is sooOO cool!! :)
this hasn't come out in Japan?? I've had this since January of this year, It's a nice system.
$243 in Japan?!! Costco had this a while ago for ~$100 with coupon.
And there hasn't been a 12 year old noob joke about how the title mentions the word "erect"?
Anyway, those look real classy. CDs standing up? Unheard of!
Sorry, guy. :wink boing:
I picked up one of these last November for $150 at CostCo. The sound quality isn't very good...very muddy. The bass is way too high, even when I adjust it as far as down as it will go. But, for the price, especially when compared to what some companies want just for an iPod dock, it's a decent. It does look good and it comes with what seem like a gazillion dock adapters. I'm not sure if it's compatible with Apple's dock adapters though.
There's nothing particularly new about any of this as the author says: B&O have been making an upright CD player for about 15 years and those flat panel speakers have been around longer. The design isn't particularly amazing either and it doesn't exactly look sturdy. If the price truely is $243 then I wouldn't bother.
It's great quality. I've had one since X-mas and it is awesome. I don't know why they said it's $243 because i got it for X-mas and I'm pretty sure it was like $100...
"Yours in Japan starting July for about ¥30,000 or right around $243."
Like everyone else, I've seen this at Costco too. It's been there for awhile now. Kinda old news engadget, but oh well - I kinda forgot about it so its good to have a reminder.
Those aren't the only things that are erect... :wink boing:
What? You only found out about this now? I've had one for over a year. I got it at Costco for about $189.
Classic Headline!
i'm pretty erect....
lol, theres your obligatory 12 joke, Taylor.
