Well, I personally, will NEVER buy and iPod. I love my Zune, as does a majority of the Zune owners. 90% of the negative stuff you hear is from people who haven't used a Zune, or just thought it was too big.
I don't mind size, but I do care about the durability and the storage of the device. And the Zune does a great job on both. I don't really like the click wheel, it's a bit too touchy, but that's just me.
A Zune 2.0 Will be great. My friend is actually waiting until the Second Generation, so this will be a welcome surprise.
Sure, people love the iPod, but Microsoft is trying to do something different from the iPod. Their own device, and if anyone has the power, and money, to make a device that they can upgrade often that works well, it's Microsoft.
