My monitor cable, being 5 years hold, has an issue where at the end where it connects to the PC, it has to be bent at like 180 degrees, or else the monitor displays a whole rainbow of unnatural colours. My solution was to duct-tape the cable to the side of the PC case after bending it backwards. It works like a charm.
