FCC? This phone had already been given to certain people in the industry, not to mention the Dopod C730 aka HTC S630 (Cavalier) is released. But yeah this phone is nicer than the Exacilbur and is fast! 400mghz processor, reviewers say its the fastest WM6 phone available.
I have never "customized" the past several SEs, Nokias and WM5 phones I have owned. Not even ringtones. All of those phones did what I wanted out of the box (well, except for the WM5 smartphone, it had way too many issues). Never felt the need to customize.

the Hermes (Cingular 8525) has that same 400 mhz processor and its hella fast.

iPhone = 620Mhz. Maybe Windows Mobile just can't handle all that speed. ;-)

The iPhone is 620Mhz, has a 3.5 inch 480-by-320-pixel (160 dpi) screen and will still probably have better battery life.

Stop bringing up that ancient 480x320 160dpi resolution as though it is so bloody awesome. It isn't.

But, can you customize iPhone?
Whithin few months you will get bored with the look and feel. Too bad, you cant do anything.
Oh wait, you can (maybe) customize the ringtones, but you MUST BUY it from iTunes :P

iPhone is customizable enough.
Why would you want to change the beautiful UI it has?
Ringtones and Wallpapers are good enough.
