Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
EDGE is absolutely fast enough. I'm actually impressed... 10-15 seconds per web page load works ok in my opinion. I've been browsing just fine, and am reasonably happy with it. Faster is better, but currently the speed is good enough.
I seriously cant believe everyone seems to brush over the fact that using internet on the iPhone makes the PHONE useless. For all the EDGE proponents saying its fine, and apple made the right decision, you all miss the fact that CALLS CANT COME IN WHEN YOU ARE USING THE INTERNET.
I'm sorry for the all caps, but people need to understand this limitation now. Engadget is the only review that even mentioned this. How is this not a deal breaker for people? I don't know what the hell I'm going to do with this iPhone but I sure cant use it as my main phone number. I can either not use the internet, or I can get another phone.
For anyone who uses their phone for business purposes, missing calls means losing money. Even if they leave a message, this is terrible. So a customer calls me, should I tell him I wasnt able to answer cause I was reading Digg?
Anyways, I'm a bit pissed. EDGE is a disaster when it makes us choose either internet or phone use.
