If I remember correctly. Resident Evil 5 came out of no where. so that's at least one surprise. lI do wish they could've mentions the "Falcon" CPU or the keyboard attachment.
Look, MS is releasing a new system! LBox! It's on Bungie's Site this can't be a mistake the L key is way too far from the X key. This must be a secret announcement. A picture is provided below just in case MS or Bungie changes it to cover it up!

Do they think that someone who buys a console customized for a game doesn't want the game??? 20GB HDD, do they even make those anymoe? I can get a can of olive drab at HD for 8 buck, why do I need this?
Microsoft doesn't have to do anything. Sony is the one who screwed up to begin with charging 600 bucks for a platform. They're slashing prices because nobody bought one. Tons of people have picked XBox or WII because it was cheaper.
Well I for one like the green box. If they cut the prices and ship the green boxes with the 65nm chips then it would be my first xbox.

A $600 console to celebrate the launch of one single game? Really Microsoft? This keynote was even worse than the Ridge Racer-filled Sony 'note of 2006.

Weird. It has the specs of the elite but is bundled with the premium HD, and no HDMI cable. No price mentioned either.

Thats the ring of death in the horizontal orientation, the correct orientation is the top right (or Player 1) quadrant.
Does the special edition come with a special warranty? Or does the console just red ring right when Halo 4 come out? I bet even the extra heat sinks are Halo Green.

microsoft needs to fire the people who create their color schemes.
They need to hire one of the guys from queer eye to find some colors that match and look a little less like what you leave in the toilet after a heavy night out at the bar.

You realize Blu-Ray is more than high-resolution picture, right? It holds much more information than standard DVD.

You guys need to stop. There is a fucking 3 year warranty on the Xbox 360, and we'll be seeing the hardware revision within the next few months. What more do you want?
Now the Keynote wasn't that great but it did expand on the fact that the Xbox 360 is still home to the lastest and greatest library of next gen titles. A new colored Xbox 360 was just icing on the cake especially for die hard Halo fans. I just wish they would have said more about the IPTV service and the inevitable price drop.

what I would have wanted was for the 360 to don't have this problems FROM THE BEGINNING, so they sell you a console that is has a high malfunction rate, and yet, you are happy because everytime it breaks (for 3 years now) you can send it back to be repaired at no cost? I would rather buy a console that doesn't give me that pain in the ass.

Killzone. I remember that game. Wasn't it ment to kill Halo. Funny, considering that it sucked (NOTE: Killzone for the PSP was pretty good). PoS3 has a way to go to recover ground.
I am NOT a fanboy, I love my PS2 (namely for RPGs), and I own just about every system on the market for years. (SNES, N64, Gamecube [sold], Wii, Dreamcast, PSX [sold for], PS2, 3 XBox 1, and XBox 360.) So as you can see I show no favortism, and I have 3 Xboxes due to room-mates.
Sony has to fix many things on the PoS3 to get really competitive. I call it a PoS because I worked at Best Buy during the Holiday release of both the Wii and PS3, and the PS3 and Wii did sell out but many PS3s came back. Also know this PS2 is still selling like no other.
People end the BS and call a cease fire on the war. All systems are good in there own right, and if Sony will either drop the PoS3 and fade away for a few and then come back with a new KICKASS PS3 that might even play UMDs (hint, hint Sony). The other thing that might happen is that they strugle along till the PS4 and everyone will have to stay sharp to stay competitive.
Hmmm... the colours on bungie.net look more like MC's outfit. The engadget pic looks toxic in comparison.
Still wouldn't get it though. Already have a 360 (no issues so far knock on wood).
I'm holding out for the smaller die with HDMI, so I can switch from VGA to HDMI on my Sammy 46" (though VGA is pretty sweet as well). MS is going to do it, and soon, because the smaller, cooler chip is actually cheaper to produce.
I'm betting it'll hit by high time Xmas.
But will it blend?
i could honestly care less. its a 360 with a paint job. i didn't like the way the original looked and a little halo shell isn't gonna change my mind. halo is overrated and microsoft is making a big mistake with this console. and boy, that thing is the ugliest color combination i have ever seen.
Why isn't Microsoft upgrading size of hard drives. 20GB for a newly announced version? What are they thinking? Are they trying to hand over the reigns to Sony. PS3 sales are going to go through the roof now...(and are as witnessed by Amazon's sales rank).
I don't care what color it is, as long as they drop the price on it. And I'm a Halo fan who hasn't bought a 360 yet.

Oh no lets not make The HALO edition xbox 360 match the MAIN CHARACTERS Armor.Heres the deal, Master Chiefs armor is a darker green in this game, its more olive drab, so of course they console will be also, and most of you people posting are going to go out and buy one. Also if this is cheaper then the elite, which hopefully it will be because of the hdd then even better, i want HDMI capabilities and I have no need to a larger hdd for my xbox. So as long as this is cheaper, its going to make for a nice upgrade

Well, let's think here: buy a shit-colored console that is known for over heating and bad costumer service, or wait a year for the PC version to come out? The PC version will be just as good with quality equipment, cheaper, and not butt-ugly. *excuse the pun
f*** any body who says that looks sh*** that is the best damn lookin xbox on the market... the only flaw is the 20 g hard drive but this is the perfect thing to bring to your stupid ps2 loving friend and convince them to buy into ms
the pricing for this looks to be cheaper. i work at a retail store, and we currently have it in our inventory system as $449.99 CDN, which is $50 cheaper than the standard premium.
I think it looks great, colour is cool, i have XBOX and PS3, my xbox has never given me trouble.

to all you people thinking of getting a ps3 dont do it. i had the 360 when it first came out just cause i was bored of waiting for the ps3 and was blown away with its online capabilities and number of games that became available. Still the hype over the ps3 made it difficult for me so i traded in my 360 begrudgingly and got one. I was not impressed but tried making it work two months later i was taking it back exchanging it for an elite 360 now im extremly happy again. The ps3 is very overated and its online is almost non exsistant hope this helps a lot of people from wasting their money on something that is just hyped up by fanboys and sony. The 360 will definatly rule over this generation of games consoles.
