yah, i dont understand what's new about that, i've had one sitting on my desk for months (if not a year) as was part of a corporate giveaway as well. it's pretty cool that you dont have to use a battery to power it (it can be powered over usb) but it's not the most exciting gizmo. the quality is pretty good for what it is but $40 is completely excessive. oh, and it's a pain in the butt to program so i doubt anyone would be using it as an alarm clock

Ditto, got it as a corporate branded giveaway - kinda cool, for free. Lousy quality though, would never pay $40 for it.
