Nyko's Wii Party Station gets put to the test
The allure of playing with Nyko's Wiimote holding station / party bowl hybrid was just too strong for the folks at Joystiq to resist, and hey, we can't say we blame 'em. As the crew put it through the typical paces, they found that the cooling, score keeping, and organizing functions all worked perfectly as advertised, but even they couldn't deny that it essentially redefined superfluous. Still, we all know this thing makes throwing parties entirely easier for introverts, so be sure and check out the read link if you're desperate to see how awesome the Wii Party Station truly is.

A table, paper and pencil, and bowl would serve the same purpose... and do a better job of it with less hassle. The drink holders dont even keep you drink cool.

The Xbox 360 party station better come with pizza, beer keg, hard liquor, and 2-liter coke bottle holders.

The cup holders actually do keep your drinks cool. They've got gel in them so if you stick them in the freezer or fridge for a few hours before your friends come over you're good.

Not to mention that it looks hideous. Why do they use all of those pointed curves? The whole disgusting bulkiness of it reminds me of a nuclear reactor; just what I want at my next nerd-a-thon.

last thing i want to do while playing wii is encourage others to get their hands all greasy from eating potato chips and then grip the wiimote!

this thing looks kinda useless.. reminds me of other useless "attachments" that you can buy for your Wiimote.. who freakin' buys a fake tennis racket or fake golf club for just 1/2 "sport" game play .. the drive wheel one makes me laugh so hard.. they look one the wheels on those big kids Tonka trucks

I'll buy one if they add charger points for the Nyko Rechargeable Battery packs/covers. Also, how about a heating element to keep my queso warm in the bowl?

-10 points for saying queso.

I don't like how they just changed this article without doing an update about the charging part that is non-existant. And then deleted the comments about it. :(
