Sprint launches LG Muziq -- uh, hoorah?
Right on schedule, Sprint has launched its new Muziq flip from LG. No surprises here: $100 (after instant savings, mail-in rebates and 2 year contract) buys you LG's LX570 clamshell with dedicated music controls, A2DP Bluetooth stereo audio, 1.3 megapixel cam, and a weak-azz 64MB MicroSD card (in the box) with room to grow up to 4GB at your own expense. It's also one of a few handsets to feature an FM Transmitter for untethered pumpage of your tunes over the car radio. Of course, it's also Sprint Music Store, Radio, and TV enabled as you'd expect a Sprint media phone to be. Come on, at least you could pretend to be a little excited.

Maybe this one is a crappy design, like the Fusic. The Pause/Play button protrudes the furthest yet is the hold button while the phone is shut. Genius, clearly an inspiration to Apple's UI team.
Say what you like about it, but it's got a decent feature set.
No, I don't want one either to be honest.
I love LG phones, just not this one for some reason.
Oh good heavens it's not an iPhone, lets crap all over it.
Seriously... When it's come to phones lately, or really anything, the editors here have been unusually harsh towards almost everything except apple products. I mean, come on guys... it's not totally ugly.
GR
LOL, classic man...
At least it has A2DP. I've been waiting one of the mp3 players out there to get it built-in.
LOL @ Sprint and this piece of junk!
I can't tell you how many phones come out weekly, and I hardly hear word one about the other carriers crap-azz handsets. either cover all the handsets fairly, or not at all.

thats mobile's job.. the main engadget gets to be choosy based on what makes a 'story'
But this _is_ on Engadget.
Anyways, it says that it supports up to 4GB microSD. Does that mean it supports SDHC? If it does... this might actually be a useful phone to replace my A680 which shows its age more and more every day.
well, for whatever reason no one is posting about the same article over on mobile. I just followed the thread really.
you know you can email them tips, maybe you're seeing the stories and they aren't, or maybe they just don't care to write a whole story about a phone that isn't special in any way
Engadget has a standard policy to only post Negative Sprint stories or reviews.
meh..
Marine Corps!
I've got the LG Fusic, and really like it. Don't use it for an audio player much, but the feature set and overall phone quality is great. The Muziq isn't much of an upgrade it would seem, though. I'll stick with the original. But hey, at least it comes with a MicroSD card, if only 64mb. My gf just bought the LG Mint Chocolate, and it didn't come with a card at all.
Mate, bundling with a 64MB microSD card is not a selling point. I work at Circuit City and we know how chain stores are with their margins. We have a 1GB Sandisk microSD card for $30. I am sure you could find it for $10 or 15 elsewhere. How is that, again, a selling point at all?
A better review of this phone I saw here :

luckily i was able to get some hands on time with the MuziQ on sunday when it came out. the sales rep was nice enough to go in the back and unbox the (working) demo for me. its actually a really nice phone. and at only $99. im definately going to get this phone once i switch over from verizon

Is the LX-570/Muziq MicroSD slot SDHC compatible? Online reviews say that it is, but the documentation is silent on the issue. Thanks. Peter
