Samsung's 19-inch Sens G25 aces the power brick
If you're looking for a portable, desktop replacement then be sure to check Samsung's latest 19-incher, the Sens G25. There's not a lot known about Sammy's latest slab as they seem more concerned with shooting that fembot than actually providing any usable specs. What we know is this: up to 320GB of disk, seven freakin' USB 2.0 ports, a numeric keypad, and an integrated AC power supply which does away with the external transformer brick. Prices start at million ? or right around $1,088 of the green stuff.

noi$ia @ Jul 17th 2007 6:43AM
somehow it seems like this model is samsungs favorite.
it aint the first time she is on a product picture.
to the laptop or pc with built in screen:
who the fu*k is buying these monsters with 19"? some people must be really blinded by the laptop effect.
ces @ Jul 2nd 2008 11:09PM

Totalfixation @ Jul 17th 2007 6:44AM
She looks like the Asian of Jennifer love Hewitt. But anyways 19 inch! I hope that thing doesn't weight more than the model.
Ahmed Alzayani @ Jul 17th 2007 6:48AM
I like it, I know 19" Laptop is brick, pepole say that about my 17" laptop ... but it's 19" Display ... it will be sweet if it have WQXGA 2560×1600 resolution , as i cant go less then 1920×1200
Ahmed Alzayani @ Jul 17th 2007 6:58AM
BTW ... I don't like desktop computers. desktop replacement laptops is the best computing experience.
Rohit Kapur @ Jul 17th 2007 7:08AM
Lay off the fembot. She's cute.
L. Cyphre @ Jul 17th 2007 8:01AM
I'm going to hell for this but...
Chii turns on, Chii turns off.
KorruptioN @ Jul 17th 2007 7:08AM
Having no power brick just adds more weight to the laptop itself. Not an issue for everybody, but the weight is there.
Marc w. @ Jul 17th 2007 5:27PM
yeah, not to mention the heat it'll add
Blackster @ Jul 17th 2007 8:01AM
yeah, so you do go out without a power brick, when you need youre laptop? ;)
L. Cyphre @ Jul 17th 2007 8:00AM
In after Korean model comments.
Also, *7* USB ports? It's not like we don't have hubs for this these days...
Richard Lai @ Jul 18th 2007 2:41AM
Nah, hubs get in the way. 7 is good. :D
nebulus @ Jul 17th 2007 8:18AM
Seriously this is getting out of hand?
What next? legs that fold out so the machine becomes a desk replacement not just a desktop replacement??
I'm struggling to see the market for such huge machines, and you'd have to be Arnold Schwarzenegger to use one of these on you lap for more at a few minutes...
Think we need a new name or class for these machines, I'll suggest one unportable! the extreme opposite of ultraportable.
Mile @ Jul 17th 2007 9:25AM
Don't need a new word when "mobile" already exists.
See, back in the day sonny, things that were movable but big/heavy were called mobile while things that were light were called portable.
Then along came those new-fangled cell phones and they used to get installed in cars. We called those car phones and then when the handheld versions started becoming more popular some people had a cell phone and a car phone so we started calling the handheld cell phones "mobiles" because they weren't tethered to the car.
Ah, memories...
Rob @ Jul 17th 2007 1:35PM
As long at their that model's legs I wouldn't mind.
nyuhsuk @ Jul 18th 2007 6:13AM
@Rob
Keep the hand out of the pants and use correct words and grammar please.

Believe it or not, these machines aren't meant to be lugged around like traditional laptops. Although, you could transport this much easier than a desktop w/monitor. This is something that you setup on a desk and (maybe) put away when done.
ninjakamster @ Jul 17th 2007 9:10AM
Sigh, all of you pathetic white boys lusting after asian women. LOL to the MAX.
BeyondtheTech @ Jul 17th 2007 9:13AM
At first, I thought the notebook sported an X-ray screen where her arm muscles were being displayed.
BTomazic @ Jul 17th 2007 10:14AM
This is perfect for people like me who travel a lot, but do a lot of gaming, and the occasional 3D animation hobby at the same time. I don't mind the big bulky laptops, and their much more portable than a huge desktop machine. I'm very used to my Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2, I'm just sick of having to get replacement parts, and sending it back because my screen randomly dies out every couple of months.
Does anyone know how Samsung laptops hold up?
BTW, I'll take the model too. Just tie her up and put her in my tru.... you know what, heh, nevermind about that last part.
trev @ Jul 17th 2007 10:59AM
I see this as more of a mobile workstation that freelancers could take to a job if it requires them to be on site for a few days/weeks. Its definetly not intended for the daily commute.
Mile @ Jul 17th 2007 11:22AM
We're all sounding like a bunch of wimps! This thing could be used for a daily commute and allow us geeks to build up some of our muscles! I remember strapping a 15 inch B&W monitor on my back with the CPU case belted to my stomach every day for a year on my daily commute before laptops were invented! And the keyboard? It made a nice but odd looking hat!
JSForbes @ Jul 17th 2007 11:24AM
I hear they're using it for the next World's Strongest Man competition.
Mike @ Jul 17th 2007 11:35AM
Do you think it will be around $1000? That's cheap..I hve been in the market for a 17" and they are easy over $1200 and thats less then 200gb HD.
Rob @ Jul 17th 2007 1:38PM
Who cares about the laptop. That woman is hot!!! An Asian Jennifer love Hewitt??!!..possibly but smaller in the chest. I'm gonna go find her.
reductant @ Jul 17th 2007 1:42PM
Sad to see that the yellow fever epidemic is still strong.
Jason Chang @ Jul 17th 2007 2:13PM
She doesn't look yellow to me..? Besides being a Black Asian that speaks korean Im "allowed" to find her attractive...Stop drinking the racial hatorade, if they like a hot chick it doesn't mean they are jumping on a band wagon, it means they are not GAY....Oh yeah and the laptop is nice except for the emachine esque hinges.
P.S. She is alright, but im partial to the LG girls..
reductant @ Jul 17th 2007 2:15PM
I've lived in Japan for quite a long time, and the white men with Asian fetishes are disgusting. I'm not saying it's wrong to be attracted to Asian women, but the slew of comments that appear on tech sites like this every time an Asian women is seen is ridiculous. If anyone's racist, it's those people who are attracted to Asian women simply because of their race.
Chris Derry @ Jul 17th 2007 2:48PM
Oh give it up. If the "gadget girls" were hot white girls you'd see the same comments.
Brian Z Jones @ Jul 17th 2007 3:38PM
I'm guessing the $1000-ish is for a chassis, and not with any complete system? Otherwise, that'd be a steal.

ninjakamster @ Jul 17th 2007 4:06PM
Your right, it is sad and disgusting to see all these pathetic white males lusting after asian females.
paccoast2010 @ Jul 19th 2007 11:17PM
Say that these comments are sexist if you want to criticize because it sure seems racist to me to single out a certain type of people only.
I live in multi-cultural Vancouver where the population is now over 40% Asian. Do you live in a society where people of many racial backgrounds live, interact, and even have relationships together without stigma? Can you imagine such a place?
XSportSeeker @ Jul 17th 2007 5:46PM
When I see 17", 19" and 20" laptops it only confirms something I suspected several years ago: Laptops will eventually replace desktops.
There's still a difference in "power", but I guess specs will come closer over time, and finally, desktop computers will remain only for people that need very specific configurations and such.
I mean, no one will buy a 20" laptop for "mobility". Yeah, it's still easier to carry a 20" laptop than a full blown desktop... but not exactly easy to put in a backpack(unless you are THE HULK!).
Anyways, looks great. Best of all: LCD IS SAMSUNG! No need to worry about problems with poor quality LCD display. :D
BigD @ Jul 17th 2007 10:03PM
With the brick built in, I'm not even sure if it has a battery. I don't believe it's supposed to be mobile at all. I know that Samsung had proposed some laptop form-factor desktops that didn't have batteries. This price point could work, even though it would still probably be as expensive (and as much of a hassle) to upgrade as a laptop.
trevor @ Jul 17th 2007 10:59PM
me likes the internets!
nyuhsuk @ Jul 18th 2007 6:18AM
Haha... tru tru but tell me you didn't do a double take on that picture of Alizée on that tiny PMP the other day... delicious.
