I emailed Motorola and this is the response I received:
Thank you for contacting the MOTO STORE, we appreciate your considerations and interest in our products.
We are sorry to inform you that the RAZR V9m is currently being offered in international markets only. There is no scheduled U.S. release and no current U.S. support for this product.
OEMs do not know when the carrier will release the handset. The Marketing teams develop the launch process and decide when the stores can release it. OEMs ship the product to our DC and we distribute when warranted. Don't call Moto for your information, get a real source. I have had phones get delivered to DC and sit for three weeks because of a firmware challenge. We will keep them housed, flash them before delivery and move the launch date. 8/1 may be correct but there is never a sure date.
