Crimson / Black DS Lite up for pre-order at Canadian retailer

While there doesn't appear to have been any official announcement from Nintendo as of yet, Canadian retailer Future Shop is now offering a new "Crimson/Black" DS Lite, which so far appears to only be available in a bundle with Brain Age 2. What's not clear is if this is exclusive to Canada (or, less likely, exclusive to Future Shop), but it seems like we should be hearing more about it soon enough, as it's apparently set to be released on August 20th (coinciding with the launch of Brain Age 2). While those in the states are out of luck for the time being, our Canadian friends can pre-order order the bundle now (which also includes a nifty carrying case) for $159.99 Canadian (or just over $150US).

It's kind of pretty.
Will probably be a FS exclusive due to the fact that is bares the colours of the FS colour scheme. Try finding reviews for all the futureshop exclusives electronics they carry. Most are just renamed versions of US counterparts.
I think it is a FS exclusive cause I have not seen it advertised anywhere else. Yes, Redflag Deals FTW! God I spend way too much time there.
It doesn't look bad, but all crimson would look better (I would trade in my white DSL for that).

While I agree that this isn't LIKELY to be a Future Shop exclusive, black and red are that chain's brand colors.

I think I'm the only person on the internet sometimes that found this. Engadget, go check Nintendo's E3 2007 press kit and read the DS Lite Hardware Specs Sheet. It lists the current DS Lite colors and says "Crimson/Onyx Coming Soon." Sadly the Wii's spec sheets only has white and no coming soon colors. I guess nobody thought to really check those expecting no new information in them. So rejoice all, it's coming to America.
