Samsung's latest Bordeaux LCDs give 720p some style again
Samsung is adding more midrange options to its overseas Bordeaux lineup, with new LCDs in 23-, 32- and 40-inch sizes. These 720p (1366x768) HDTVs feature 8ms response times, 8,000:1 contrast ratio and 550 cd/m2 brightness on the two larger screens, while the 23-inch is limited to a 4,000:1 contrast and 450cd/m2 brightness rating. The smallest LCD eschews the slick black finish that seems standard for the line, but for just 69,800 yen ($581 U.S.), we'll overlook it. The 40-inch LN40R81B (above) will cost 168,00 yen ($1,398 U.S.) and the 32-inch 99,800 yen ($830 U.S.) when all three are released on the 27th. More photos after the break.

Wow. I really like these TV's. I'm generally a fan of Samsung and Sony's very high-res TV's, but I never thought 720p could look so nice.
Good work Samsung. Just cut off some of the useless model (that all seem to the same except for one small feature) and you'll have some real lovers out there.

These types have been out for a few months now in Europe. I don't see anything new here. Well, unless I'm missing something...

These have been out in Denmark for about 5 months now? It looks excactly like that; white and black colors - 23-40 inches and 2-3 HDMI. Is there anything new about that? I think I have seen these models in US too?

And it's Danish design. Samsung lived with Danish familys, and get inspiration. NICE!!

these tvs have been out for ages, but their model numbers were LNxxR81BD. Just recently bought a 40 inch. I think these are the new ones, which were released in korea a month ago. http://www.sec.co.kr/PCS.svl?CMD=PavvProductView&&GOODS_NO=145171&dispNo=001007&curDepth=2&dispNoMall=001001001&COMM_001=0000100030
so, i think these are the new ones with a little facelift and 10000:1 contrast ratio.
the older ones have 8000:1 ratio and are SO slightly different.

How many more samsung blogs are we going to see? are we able to turn off the rss feed on these? Frankly they're not that interesting.
