iFuntastic 2.0 enables mortals to mod their iPhone
If you were enthralled by the sound of what the Dev Wiki crowd was cookin' up, yet you just couldn't understand the majority of what they were telling you, you're in luck. bitSplit, the man that brought you iFuntastic, has released version 2.0 of the software, which goes the extra mile and enables mere mortals (read: folks who aren't down with code speak) to "add ringtones, change the carrier logo, and reorder their iPhone applications." Best of all, this here software is completely free to use, but unless you've got an Intel-based Mac, you won't get very far. So go on, tag the read link and see what fun awaits you.

I'll buy an iPhone when there is a SNES emulator on it
Nakkko @ Jul 28th 2007 6:14PM
And what buttons are you planning to use with the emulator?
fischju @ Jul 28th 2007 9:50PM
Virtual buttons?
Harbinger @ Jul 29th 2007 2:08AM
Doesn't the PSP you lug around already have that?
fischju @ Jul 30th 2007 1:26AM
No, but the DS I "lug around" does
jilie @ Jul 28th 2007 1:44PM

You mean iTunes?
It's already out ... www.apple.com/itunes
CharlieX @ Jul 28th 2007 2:57PM
Now seriously... the iPhone is a pretty impressive gadget... but how in name of zeus' butthole didn't someone at Apple realize that custom ringtones is such an obvious feature that everyone uses on every other phone in existence.
WTF? That northern cali bud must really be strong.
m@ @ Jul 28th 2007 5:57PM
Seriously guys... it's not Apples fault that you can't use your own ringtones.. look to AT&T. You really think AT&T would want you to use your own ringtones when they can sell them to you?
Same reason there's no iChat on the phone.. text messages = money for AT&T.
It will all be fixed soon.
t-bone @ Jul 29th 2007 12:16AM
@ m@: My phone has AIM and each IM costs one SMS. Why would iChat be any different?
BTW: The comments here are completely screwed up!
Nate @ Jul 28th 2007 3:42PM
Wouldn't it be "mere mortals"?
chris crouse @ Jul 28th 2007 4:27PM
What I want to know is why my iphone doesn't have that neat looking swimming goldfish wallpaper that appears in all the propaganda.
mstngo @ Jul 28th 2007 8:08PM
just download the fish wallpaper it's all over the net...
chris crouse @ Jul 28th 2007 9:16PM
yeah, did that later. something's corrupt in vista, couldnt do it with that, had to dust off the macbook pro, which already has the background on it
Prasand J. @ Jul 28th 2007 9:39PM
I'm really starting to think ... people like this are really just bitter.
Prasand J. @ Jul 28th 2007 9:41PM
oops that was @ bloody toast: "pfft other phones don't need software to change ringtones."

Sounds cool! Apple showing Microsoft the way......AGAIN with iPhone! Come on Zunie, this is how it's done!! Although you can get the Zune in BROWN which is one thing you can't get with Mac stuff! LOL!!
Yo Yo Smuggler @ Jul 30th 2007 11:46PM
Anto: Way to add to to the conversation. Idiot.
What in the world does this item have to do with MS? What does it have to do with the Zune? For that matter, what does this have to do with "Apple showing the way"? Somebody hacked the iPhone to enable it to do things a lot of other phones out there already do. The very reason this had to be done in the first place is Apple's fault. Get a life.
In any case, this is great news for the iPhone crowd. Keep up the good work bitSplit.
Anto @ Jul 30th 2007 6:47PM
Yo Yo Smudger, I'm entitled to my opinion PRICK!
You obviously bought a brown Zune, guess it'd suit ya.
Anyhow, so what you're saying is the iPhone can do everything other phones out there can do.....with one difference, iPhone does it with style. Mind you, you sound the kind of twat that probably couldn't afford one. LOL
Yo Yo Smuggler @ Aug 1st 2007 1:07PM
I didn't say anything negative about the iPhone, aside from the fact that it was missing some functionality that this program adds. I actually might have bought one if Cingular didn't suck so badly in my area.
What I did do however, was ask three questions (That you failed to answer.)
I'm tired of the doofuses like you that comment on Apple stories and somehow try to make them about how bad Microsoft sucks. This post had nothing to do with MS.

Oh shut up and grow up you silly little boy.
