Tumbler Batmobile modded to house PC
For those of you still enamored by the Optimus Prime PC case mod, here's yet another transformation to keep you in awe. A self-proclaimed Batman fanatic happened upon an RC iteration of the Tumbler Batmobile, and as any true nerd would do, he wondered if a PC could be stuffed within. Sure enough, with a healthy amount of dedicated modding, the RC Tumbler was finally equipped with an AMD Sempron 2800+ CPU, a 40GB hard drive, and a basic DVD drive, but considering the main purpose is to race around the web and look sexy, we'd say it's potent enough for that. Click on through for a few more shots that even Bruce Wayne would approve of.

Look's pretty cool. I've always wanted that car.. I can't drive a car but if I had the bat car it wouldnt matter. It would just drive itself or crush anything it hits.

This is a totally sweet mod. Someone should mod a TMNT Sewer Set or van to a PC. Modders: Putting all those childhood favorites to good use.

Nicely done! Would be great to have a shot with a hand or something so that there is a good scale reference point. Wonder what the overall cost was and how good is the air flow? Great work, now imagine a version 2 with a smaller MB that might allow for the RC components to stay intact ;^p...

Doesn't the DVD drive tray in the bottom picture give you a clue?
Rev. Matt oxley @ Aug 13th 2007 1:53PM
you could just look at it in relation to the standard sized RAM or even the heatsink or next to the DVD player...those are all standardized, even more so than a hand.

"Nicely done! Would be great to have a shot with a hand or something so that there is a good scale reference point. "
I think the shot of it without the chassis accomplishes that for you.

S'OK, but I want one in the shape of a Green Lantern's power battery, so I can charge my ring as I utter the oath:
In brightest day, in darkest night,
No evil shall escape my sight!
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!

A mini itx board would work even better but it would not be as powerful, although you might have enough room for the rc guts.

That's coolest thing I've ever seen...
