Ya, I'm calling BS on this "rumor" as these are all end-user improvements. Too me it sounds like any other jaded iPhone owner or iPhone hater's list of things that are wrong with the phone.
At least if you're making a "rumor" throw something in there that would suggest that corporations are making the deals, not new age hipsters.
