I still prefer Sangean HD radio over the Sony. It has better sound & reception. In addition, I own Sangean WR2 (non-hd) and it has excellent LCD screen, sound, controls, brushed aluminum metal front and in piano black finish. It has RDS too!
Since when is the iphones unusual audio port a con to products that use a normal cable?

What do you expect? ...For him to actually acknowledge that Apple purposely fashioned the iPhone in such a way that it would not be compatible with 80% of the cable jacks on the market? Besides hes too busy giving his girlfriend priority on Visual Voicemail to write a fair review.

HD Radio is not really related to HDTV. HD here is short for Hybrid-Digital, not High Def.
The sound quality *can* approach CD quality, but it can't get too close as long as there's still analog radio on the same channel. Most of the time, you'll see your HD tuner miss the HD signal and go to poorly-designed analog radio tuners.
This technology has a lot of potential, but we'd need to wait for a second generation of tuners to make this usable... and a ton more radio stations. And as long as ibiquity is charging each radio station $15,000-$20,000 per year/channel, you won't see the little guys get on board.
