Dust-Off announces "Keyboard Quiver"
We can't say we've often felt the need to whip out a full-size keyboard on a second's notice, but Dust-Off seems to think there's enough folks clamoring to do just that, and it's hoping they'll find its new "Keyboard Quiver" to their liking. Apparently designed specifically with "active gamers" in mind, the Keyboard Quiver measures 21x12x6 inches, and boasts enough room for a mouse, cellphone, headphones, and other gear in addition to your keyboard, with plenty of padding provided to keep everything in tip-top shape for your next LAN party or impromptu gaming showdown. You'll still have to make do with your current carrying gear for a little while longer though, as the Quiver won't be available until sometime this October, when it'll set you back $70.

they were selling these at Quakecon2008. I believe it was going for $35.00 at the time. The guy from Dustoff stand was really good at selling and sold my friends I didn't go for it.I already got a Thermaltake LAN carrying straps that also holds my, desktop, keyboard and mouse. If they were selling it for $20.00 maybe I would've gone for it.. Nah don't think so.

The model is about 70 pounds under weight for the target audience.
Kevin @ Aug 20th 2007 5:35PM
Hey! I resemble that remark!!
Still wouldn't buy this thing though.
Gregg @ Aug 20th 2007 1:45PM
I can see a branding opportunity right there.
fred @ Aug 20th 2007 1:51PM
Lan party seems like a good use for this.
Dias @ Aug 20th 2007 1:52PM
Looks like a decent iKeyboard for iPhone.
The General @ Aug 20th 2007 1:56PM
That's a Saitek keyboard ...
Emceay @ Aug 20th 2007 5:23PM
Funny that they'd shell out more for the quiver than the keyboard.
Solomon @ Aug 21st 2007 2:02PM
Saitek Eclipse FTW
DickHardknocks @ Aug 20th 2007 1:52PM
try and get that through airport security.
BillyBones @ Aug 20th 2007 2:21PM

Looks like the people at Dust-Off have been inhaling too much of their products.
Richard Glitter @ Sep 21st 2007 11:26AM
This is the dorkiest thing I've ever seen.
Gabe @ Aug 20th 2007 7:48PM
you would think this is dorky, but, as a freelance editor in NY, I carry a specialized keyboard with me just about anywhere I go during the week. Cops carry guns, Construction workers have hardhats and tool belts, we have keyboards.
Oh Snap! Who's the dork now!
Gabe @ Aug 20th 2007 7:49PM
is Glitter really your last name? ehemmm....
Richard Glitter @ Sep 21st 2007 11:28AM
"Oh Snap! Who's the dork now!"
I think the answer is obvious. It's the person who actually f'ing says "Oh Snap!"
Grizz @ Aug 20th 2007 2:56PM
Quiver is a way better name than Man-Purse.
Billy Horbelt @ Aug 20th 2007 3:30PM
You know it feels weird to see something you've worked with make it on Engadget, really surprising when I looked at my RSS feed.
Mikey-D @ Aug 20th 2007 4:15PM
Hmmm...when I was a kid we called these things...backpacks...
Emceay @ Aug 20th 2007 5:21PM
I can't shake this mental image of some dude perched on a rooftop pulling a keyboard out of the quiver and launching it from a bow as it shatters on impact. Assault with a nerdly weapon?
Mandarin @ Aug 20th 2007 6:38PM
so it fits only a keyboard and some cans of soda... Thats all 70$ can do these days?
E71 @ Aug 20th 2007 5:29PM
LAN parties are for losers with no lives.
putterson @ Aug 20th 2007 7:10PM
but will it fit my G15
Morisato @ Aug 20th 2007 5:54PM
Hmmm.... Everything but the laptop...
Russ @ Aug 20th 2007 11:54PM
dust-off would've done better to bring out their press release WHEN the product was available..
allaina @ Aug 21st 2007 12:07AM
the question is, does it fit a 60 inch chest, and will it chafe my ginormous manboobs?
(does anyone who might actually use this this actually leave their own computer room...?)
i really hope that they make it in a better colour. this one would really clash with my night elf outfit.

Bring your own Mac Mini & 12" LCD screen
Christian @ Aug 21st 2007 2:37PM
I would actually get one if it wasn't too big, I'd like one specifically for my Logitech DiNovo Edge since I love using it at work but dare not leave it there as someone's bound to be jealous and steal it. I also use it at home and at my parent's place since it's wireless...
