I finally had to look up Swarovski on Wikipedia and found this snippet:
"Swarovski crystal contains approximately 32% lead to maximize refraction."
I assume this is no longer true what with ROHS, but maybe they have a Bling exemption.
"swarovski crystal" is nothing but a brand name. The real term is "rhinestone" Cheap pieces of leaded glass that have mirror material on the back to make them sparkle. I have no idea why some people are willing to pay a 1000% premium for the stupid things when the are not really that different from the stuff you can get at a dollar store
