Nokia's 6555 does the 3G flip with style
Take a moment to welcome the new Nokia 6555. This 3G (WCDMA of unspecified band) clamshell goes quadband GSM with microSD expansion (30MB on-board) and 240 x 320 QVGA display touting 16 million colors. If thin is your thing and 3G Nokia your game then this is about as good as it gets. Available next month for about €200 pre-tax and pre-subsidy. Unfortunately, Nokia doesn't say where, but its forward-facing profile certainly matches up nicely with Nokia's FCC approved RM-276 handset operating in the 850 and 1900MHz bands (read: AT&T). Check Engadget Mobile for the full gallery.

on-boad = on-board
thin - this
thin - this
Actually, I read this as "If you like thin phones...".
QVGA resolution sucks.
What!? Again!? Spambot, anyone?
Not to bad a design for Nokia, but I wonder how cheap it feels.
Ah yes i see now...my bad buddy:D
Still looks thicker than my Razr xx. And certainly more plasticky. That's right, plasticky.
QVGA on a 200 euros non-contract mobile? That is awesome.
It may be thick but knowing Nokia this will be a reliable phone. If only it runs Series 60...
20mm! Ha ha, LOL. Nokia is NUTS. Like they think people don't even know 9mm 3G Samsungs and 12mm iPhones exist.
Well i havent read anywhere that Nokia has said that this is thin(I might be wrong). Nokias more thin phones are 6500 classic 6300 and N76 that is after all a real smartphone. On my opinion under 12mm is waste of time, but each on its own.
You can tell just by looking at the main menu - it's not series 60.
If you want a thin 3G Nokia with S60, look at the raz*cough*N76.
That phone is hideous!
This is a beautiful phone. Its thin but no too thin, and it looks gorgeous opened in use. Please see a real working model before you judge its appearance. Its not a razr, its a nokia. the feel of the phone is balanced, and it seems much more solid than the razr as well.
Battery life on this thing stinks. Fully charged on Friday, here is is Tuesday, I've hardly used it and the battery's nearly sprung.
