Apparently,
Logitech isn't content with pretty much "pwning" the entire PC peripheral industry -- they want to dip into the
Wii's pool as well. According to an industry site, Logitech has plans to unveil a new controller which combines motion sensing and rumble features into one fierce, unstoppable Wiimote-killer. Or so we're thinking. In an interview with Chris Spearing -- head of the UK and Ireland divisions of the company -- both controller features were complimented, and then Spearing went on to say, "Hopefully we'll be at the forefront of pushing that further, combining some of the two." In addition, Spearing discussed his admiration for Nintendo and its business models, though he seemed to feel that Logitech could best the Japanese company's Wii-work, saying, "If you couldn't improve on it, we wouldn't be in business, and that's the same for all products." I say go for it. The Wii remote is good but far from perfect. Oh and make it compatible for the Xbox 360.
joe23521 @ Aug 30th 2007 5:16PM
Yes! An xMote would be quite awesome.
gshb @ Aug 30th 2007 4:57PM

Andune @ Aug 30th 2007 4:57PM
Hmm how can you make the Wiimote beter than it already is and still make it look good/match the Wii...
Why not a wireless nunchuck!
Well Logitech usually do good things so this will be fun to watch.
Jonathan Keim @ Aug 30th 2007 7:29PM
Mmmm... the real question is if you have a computer for each mouse.
Craig @ Aug 30th 2007 5:31PM
wouldn't a wireless nunchuck cease to be a nunchuck?
AKBlade13 @ Aug 30th 2007 5:48PM
If they did that, I'd buy it with no regret.
AKBlade13
Andune @ Aug 30th 2007 5:48PM
Good point Craig...
Why dont we rename it to the Wiichuck then?
(Or the Monkchuck, ha, ha)
AlexP @ Aug 30th 2007 7:02PM

Srsly, I'm not delusional.
t3hm1cr0 @ Aug 31st 2007 3:49PM

Anthony @ Aug 30th 2007 4:59PM
Sure the current Wiimote can go through glass but can these Logimotes go through steel?
hobbes @ Aug 30th 2007 5:25PM
Nah, it rips a hole straight though the space-time continuum.
Doesn't hit your TV though.
db26 @ Aug 30th 2007 5:03PM
Wireless Nunchuck + Rechargable battery and I'll be all over this thing. Hell, even one of those, and I'll be all over it.
TheWakeUpCall @ Aug 30th 2007 5:31PM
I thought the current Wiimote rumbled already? How weird.
Michael @ Aug 30th 2007 5:35PM
You know what would be an improved wiimote?
One with a rechargable battery, that has an alternate method of charging... What??? What else are you going to use all that kinetic energy for.
Sure It won't work for a full charge (It ain't no watch), but might delay the charging cycle.
Oh and Wireless Nunchuk.
Neebs @ Aug 30th 2007 6:29PM
Knowing Logitech they'd have something extremely awesome and put a a weight cartridge in.
HB96st @ Aug 30th 2007 6:59PM
Logitech, do it.. We want all the innards of the Wiimote and nunchaku crammed in one controller. That can play all games (GCN, VC, and Wii) -that would be dope..
NickF @ Aug 30th 2007 8:48PM
Logitech is awesome, they've got a monopoly on my pc, keyboard, mouse, joystick, web cam, space mouse, speakers, headphones. It's about time they branched off. Maybe they can make a couple motion sensitive rings for your fingers so you don't need to press a button to actually press a button, you do the action of pressing a button with a finger or something. One step away from a full blown glove.

I can see Nintendo licensing Logitech to make controllers... after all, Logitech was the only (other than Hori) company to make licensed controllers (that I know of) for GameCube- the steering wheel. I forget the name.
