Hands-on with Samsung's SGH-i620 WM6 slider
It might look a little squat at first glance, but slide her open and the SGH-i620 is ready for business. We had some tactile problems with the touch-sensitive buttons up top, but the scroll wheel is like butter. Like most keyboards, we need some more time with it to give it a fair rating, but at first touch it's certainly passable. The screen seems awkwardly tiny compared to most recent smartphones, but it's certainly sharp and bright. In all the phone is a pleasure to hold and quite small enough to pocket, but we're not quite sure how much we could get done with it -- other than the usual photo snapping that Samsung phones are known for.

Looks pretty sweet. Unfortunately, I'm with Verizon, so they won't be carrying this until about 2011 or so...
I'm sure once they've had the chance to lock it down and remove any feature that's even remotely useful, (They need to prevent "revenue leak.") they'll put it in their line-up.
and whenever Verizon does get it, it'll be so crippled that it'll be worthless.
'Sorry, phone.exe cannot be used right now. Please call Verizon customer service to enable this feature.'
Looks like what would happen if you crossed a Chocolate (VX8550, not VX8500) with a WinMob device. I've come to love the scroll wheel on it.
I wish palm would take some pointers from samsung and go for a slider phone.
when it's closed (http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-samsungs-sgh-i620-wm6-slider/375462/) it kinda looks like the supposed ipod nano "phatty" (http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/23/apples-lawyers-called-the-ipod-nano-phatty-is-apparently-the/)
This phone got little thickness:

Which could be a bad thing in terms of battery life...Form factor always messes with battery life.
Come ON! Total failure to capitalize on how awesome the Blackjack was. White? Samsung going for some cross-gender market here? Pop quiz, hot shot. Which one's bigger? A quarter or the i60-whatever's screen?
how about making that scroll wheel smaller and slap a bigger vga screen on there...
