Interact-TV announces 3.75TB MediaPool home media server
While we're still kind of left wondering where the reviews are for all of Interact-TV's previous kit, the company is announcing a new, 3.75TB MediaPool home media server. At this point, the typical conversion into # of DVDs capable of being stored becomes a little absurd: ~750, in case you were wondering. It's also upgradeable to 5TB in a RAID 10 formation -- thanks Hitachi and co. -- and features enough throughput for high definition video. We're guessing that means the MediaPool features HDMI, although since Interact-TV failed to include that basic fact in the press release, that assumption could eventually make an ass out of ... well, nevermind.

It doesn't have HDMI, it's based on Silverstones DS351 which connects via an external ATA II connection. Info on the device is available at http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_contents.php?pno=ds351&area=
The link also says it connects via eSata and serves as the main storage and access point for all digital media content. So its basically a big external hard drive, it does not do any playback etc.
would you guys please ban dfsdfsfsf? i've seen his posts in several articles, and all he ever does is make irrelevant posts about how great apple is in an obvious attempt to start a flame war. if you're able to search his last posts, you'll see that's what he's doing. he's a troll. thanks.
Why on earth would anyone compare a Mac Pro, which is in all regards a professional workstation, to a media server?
dfsd u r a troll
I love a good flame war, why else would you read the comments?
dfsdfsfsf & Craig, keep up the good work!
After the Gameshark, I'm not sure I want to buy anything with Interact in the name.
Please add /sarcasm at the end of all of your posts. Thank you.
To stray a bit from the current thread, and to contribute to the flame war, dfsdfsfsf, you know that a mac sucks for gaming right? For the very very few games it does have, it runs great, but thats where it ends. This "peice of crap" is much better than your mac in that respect.
dfsdfsfsf, your comparison just makes Mac fanboys look uniformed. This device is essentially a glorified NAS, not meant to be a computer. It would be like me comparing my laptop to your ipod.
Do you actually get the fact that you're making an ass out of yourself, or do still need somebody here to tell you that?
