i do believe you are correct, it seemed strange when i read it, but didn't really think about it.
My bad. HDCP (high def content protection) != DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol).
HDCP is actually 'High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection', not 'High Definition Copy Protection'
