Fujitsu launches FMV-TEO HTPC with Blu-ray recorder
If you'll recall, Fujitsu's unsightly TEO HTPC was first seen way back in January, and while the newest iteration most certainly steps it up in the hardware department, the aesthetics are still sorely lacking. Nevertheless, the TEO90X/D sports a 1.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, 2GB of RAM, a half terabyte of HDD space, integrated multicard reader (SD / Memory Stick / xD support), WiFi, FireWire, gigabit Ethernet, audio in / out, and of course, a Blu-ray writer. Furthermore, you'll find an optical digital audio output, HDCP-compliant HDMI / DVI connectors, an ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics set (um, weak?), digital TV tuner, and Vista Home Premium runnin' the show. Slated to hit Japan here shortly, the TEO90X/D is priced at ¥265,000 ($2,282).

Why go to all the trouble of making a hardcore device with decent specs but then leave it looking like an early 90's reject?
It's a VHS top loader, lol.
There is nothing hardcore about this device, except for a blu-ray recorder, taking up about 80% of the price, I suppose.
The keyboard with the touch pad is pretty darn bad-ass.
$2000 no way
With the cost of media, 2000 is just the start!
Maybe if it were a combo HD-DVD and Blu-ray.
Looks lame to me.
Only cool part is the Blu-Ray recorder.
anyone notice how large/long the remote is? it's like 2 in 1.
REMOTE = BADASS
That remote is ENORMOUS!
I could but a laptop with a Blu-Ray recorder built in, and it would still be cheaper BTW neither HD-DVD or Blu-Ray have actually won the INFAMOUS High Defi Format battle, so I would just rather stick with my DVD player, ONLY IF IT HAD DIVX on it.
The laptop you would get wouldnt have a 500GB hard drive though...not disagreeing wtih you that i would get a laptop as well, just stating that fact.
It's amazing how ugly Dell's equipment can be - nice webcam - really subtle
Is that a touchpad on the keyboard? Sounds like something that should be on every keyboard!
reminds me of an MSX or FM Towns for some bizarre reason
