Hello Kitty mouse: does it chase itself?
Hello Kitty has found her way onto a-many of gizmos, but the irony of Queen Cuteness showing up on her favorite prey is striking, indeed. Nevertheless, this adorable critter plays nice with Macs and PCs, reportedly boasts a 1,200dpi sensor, includes a scroll wheel and right / left click buttons, and touts one of the most un-ergonomic designs we've ever witnessed. Notably, we've no idea whether or not this piece is actually authentic, but hey, it sure looks the part and costs just $10.08.

Which way *are* you supposed to hold this thing... One's worse than the other.

45 degree angle, of course, I always hold my kitties up by their tails so perhaps its a 3D mouse.

Anyone who knows Dealextreme.com will know that nothing they sell is licensed Considering the $10 price tag and the fact that it is labeled "Cute Kitty USB Optical Mouse" by the site I can say pretty confidently that this is a cheap Chinese knockoff made without the copywrite owner's permission.

'Cute Kitty', lol.

"Does it chase itself?" At 4:02 AM, and you've already got the "Worst Pun of the Day Award".
Congratulations :D

That's not a pun

I love cute, pink, cuddly, sweet things, but unless you use your computer for 5 minutes a day, you'll do irreparable damage to your hands and wrists by trying to reach those silly little buttons!
Urgh I think I want to puke. Somebody pass a bucket over.

One of the best captions ever.

Well, there's my one of wife's birthday presents.
Thanks, Engadget! :)

I need coffee. How about: "there's one of my wife's birthday presents."
NHAnimator @ Sep 5th 2007 10:14AM
Your wife is one lucky woman.
Geoffrey Sperl @ Sep 5th 2007 10:42AM
Lucky? Nah... she just likes Hello Kitty (they're the same age). Now, the site actually calls it "Cute Kitty," which means this most probably isn't licensed... but what's a counterfeit computer mouse between spouses?
bouie @ Sep 5th 2007 9:28AM
I'd buy one for my sister. This is cute ^_^
Pagz @ Sep 5th 2007 10:56AM
i cant believe people actually buy this stuff...
Eduardo @ Sep 5th 2007 3:01PM
Voy a comprar para mi hija, no creo que sea muy ergonomico, pero seguro que le vá a encantar ;-)
