Griffin wastes no time with new line of iPod accessories
We can't say we're surprised, but Griffin sure isn't messing around with this iPod accessory business. The company just announced a whole slew of cases for protecting your new iPod touch, classic or nano from the elements and your greasy fingerprints. Of course, no real surprises in the lineup, but we have to admit that "Reflect" case pictured above is a bit of a looker. Griffin should be shipping its new line, which ranges in price from $20 to $35, this October.

hmmm this is looking sexy .... but why hide the sexiness of an ipod
The problem with all these snap on type cases is sure they look good and all. But after a few months when you pull them off you discover that all this grit and crap has got under it leaving it scared and shit.
The best slip cases were the ones apple sent out in the boxes of the original 5g ipod. Other than that the best case is no case at all. Its just lame apple couldnt put the same back on it as the iphone.. screw this, might as well get an iphone and unlock it.
You guys probably buy a new iPod every 4 months anyways, so why do you care about scratches.. just buy a NEW one.. thats what a good Apple FanBot is suppose to do.
new ways to spend money... so innovative.
i saw a case similar to this for regular ipods, and at first i thought it was really cool.
but then i realized that you won't be able to see the screen at ALL when the backlight is off... which sucks if you just want to see what song is playing in a well-lit room.
cool case
uum... making your i pod into a shuffle o.k.
I hope that bloody thing is stainless steel. Aluminum scratches very easily and would be a piss poor material to use for a protective device.
It's plastic with a mirrored finish on the inside. If it was stainless steel, you wouldn't be able to see the screen at all...
Wow, what a rip-off of Power Support's Illusion case: http://www.powersupportusa.com/products/ipod/illusioncase-5G.php . I love Griffin, but man... that's just sad.
looks nice to me, don't think i'll be getting this get though. hold out for iphone in japan :)
What's wrong with gadgets these days?
I've still got an Aiwa cassette walkman from 15 years ago with hardly a scratch on it, 'cos I treated it properly (ie never dropped it). Now you have to wrap your iPod in 15 layers of protective gel casings so you can't see the product you've bought because it'll get covered in scratches within a week through putting it in your pocket, sneezing too energetically, or looking at it a bit funny?
Maybe it's the sheer fact that they both look pretty much the same now?
The screen doesn't actually shine through when turned on. They do this so you can have a 160GB iPod shuffle! ;-)
