All-electric KillaCycle tries to kill its maker
You may have heard about the all-electric "KillaCycle" -- a 158MPH drag racing bike powered by a bank of 990 lithium-ion batteries that does 0-60 in .97 seconds. Well, the bike isn't shy about living up to its name -- in a demo for reporters at Wired's NextFest, creator Bill Dube was doing some innocent burnouts when the rear tire hooked and fired him off like a shot...into a parked minivan. Dube appears to be okay -- he was conscious and had feeling in all his fingers and toes -- but paramedics took him in for X-rays just to be sure. Here's hoping he recovers quickly -- and lets us take that thing for a spin. Hit the read link to see it all go down on video.

Just another reason that I do not see ANY reason to continue making motorcycles. They are death machines and they always make it out to be the person in the car was at fault. We all know that there are very few people who can ride one of these things with any brains. I just have never been able to see the appeal in putting a engine between my legs and hoping that I can hang on. I dont think I feel any pity for this guy, he knew that he was taking a risk the min that he got on the thing. Show boating got him where he is, and hopefully he learned something from it.
nuff said.
Did he bounce off the vehicle and land on his back? I thought it was actually hilarious (after finding out he was ok) seeing him accelerate to over 60mph in a millisecond and end up stopping in the blink of an eye, only to find him lying conscious on his back withh his arms and legs splayed.
He was just proving it's a real motorcycle.
Mission Accomplished.
Ironically, given the average maturity of sport bikers, this news will cause the orders to pour in.
