Catalina Spas integrates 61-inch LCD TV into jacuzzi
It's one thing to have an outdoor viewable, waterproof LCD TV, but you can seriously up the bragging if that set is integrated right into your jacuzzi. For those that settle for only the best, Catalina Spas is offering up a "61-inch Theater Spa," which not only seats four very comfortably, but it also includes a 61-inch LCD HDTV that "automatically stores along the side wall of the spa and raises and lowers for viewing." Of course, considering that it's "priced upon request," you should probably bring the bank if eying this one with any level of seriousness.

Shagadelic baby, yeheah!

That TV is too big for the space; there isn't enough distance from the screen. The spa users will be complaining about the pixelated image.

Unless your drunk

TVs of this size are supposed to be viewed from at least 8 feet away. I saw that in a Circuit City once.
But it brings TV to a new place. TVs in the fridge weren't enough. We need TVs in the jacuzzi! Seriously, what on TV can be that important?
Anthony @ Sep 20th 2007 11:12AM
That has to be a mistake. 61 inches is ridiculously too big to watch from that distance. The picture looks more like a 32 inch screen, in comparison to the tub, which is a lot more sensible.
simon.nutsy @ Sep 20th 2007 8:30AM
Looks really REALLY uncomfy...
diuqil @ Sep 20th 2007 8:46AM
Didn't your mother ever tell you to not sit so close to the TV?

He came,
He enjoyed,
He electrocuted
Duder @ Sep 20th 2007 8:58AM
Dude, I'm getting a chub just looking at a picture of it. Forget the TV, those jet arrangements look orgasmic. Mmm.

Since when did Catalina start making Jacuzzis?
They make Catalina Spas... Not Jacuzzi spas. That name is exclusive to the Jacuzzi company.
If you need an LCD TV in your Jacuzzi for bragging rights, then this isn't it... Only Jacuzzi can deliver.
Jerome @ Sep 20th 2007 9:24AM
that just pop the price tag 4000$ more!
"hey babe, let's by this 8999$ spa instead!"
there is the XLZ17X 17 Inch and the XL 22 Inch.
Fox McCloud @ Sep 20th 2007 9:55AM
Are you really supposed to sit in a hot tub for a 2 hour movie?
I bet your balls would melt off.
Sean @ Sep 20th 2007 11:54AM
Thermospas.com offers a similar option though not as large, but their speakers are built into the spa using the concave shape and water to distribute the sound so that the main directional sound hits within the hottub and doesn't bother those around it.
Dennis @ Sep 20th 2007 10:53AM
I have to say, that hottub is bad-ass! even without the tv
Broken Haiku @ Sep 20th 2007 11:44AM
Yuuum, look at the viewing angle from the front seat. Ain't that a treat? Does the thing come with a manual explaining how to sit?
Jubei @ Sep 20th 2007 12:15PM
Umm, Jacuzzi is a company in itself. Plus I believe its a trademark registered name.
clark @ Sep 20th 2007 3:58PM
this is like a spouse killer waiting to happen...whoops honey the tv fell in and shocked you to death leaving me a measly 1 million in insurance.
Battery @ Sep 20th 2007 4:19PM
I sell Jacuzzi. If Jacuzzi did make it I wouldn't sell it, too tacky. You can get a cool outdoor TV for the same price as the upgrade and can actually be used.
Kal-El @ Sep 20th 2007 10:24PM
Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't La Scala do this a while back? Only, i'm sure it was a 40-inch LCD.
Sergio @ Oct 19th 2007 5:08PM
I like the idea of T.V everywhere possible! They should figure out how to throw some speakers in there... I found this cool post on how a bathtub was a giant speaker? Check it out at
