SwissGear readies media-controlling, wireless mouse

A look back on popular stories from today in a specific year.

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Actually Wenger isn't the original Swiss Army maker of anything just a bunch of copy-cat loosers. They are copying everything. The original people are Victorinox located at http://www.victorinox.com.
wenger isn't "the famous maker of swiss army..." Victorinox is the only "swiss army" brand, wenger makes "swiss gear" which is just a knock off of Victorinox.
Actually, both companies were established in the late 19th/early 20th century. Wenger calls it's knives "the genuine..." and Victorinox calls it's "the original..."; the Swiss government buys half their supply from each company.
Victorinox now owns Wenger but intends to keep both brands intact.
Which kinda pisses on your cornflakes.
if its swiss army, then hell, I want to see a memory card reader built in, flashlight, calculator on the bottom surface, I dunno.. just.. a wireless mouse with a few buttons... wow... giddy up... never seen that one before...
just plain ol' media buttons; play, stop, ff etc.
nice gloss tho.
From the same company as the Taschenmesser, doesn't come in brushed aluminium for the Swiss army's computers.
Hopefully they won't make such a big order, that the item could be Chinese. LOL
Isn't the whole "Swiss Army" idea paradoxical? When in this last century has Switzerland had an army?
Actually, they do have an army. They even take their guns home and have to pass a shooting test on a regular basis (2 years?).
As for the Victorinox/Wenger argument, I have only one thing to add: As an IT professional, one of the most valuable tools I have in my arsenal is a Victorinox Cybertool:

Do some research: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_Army
Every able body Swiss male MUST do around 300 days of military training, which currently under Armee XXI can be done either as a full course or six months first and two weeks refresher courses.
The soldiers must keep their guns (and 70 rounds of ammunition), uniform, chemical weapons suit and gas mask, so they are ready for any possible invasion.
(Which is silly, as the last one was 1515!)
