JVC's GR-DA30US sliding-LCD camcorder for $199 in October

Remember that funky looking JVC GR-DA20 we showed you a few weeks back? Well it turns out that its US variant -- the JVC GR-DA30US -- has a very low price too, at $199.99, shipping this October (on the 15th, if Amazon is to be believed.) The obvious stand-out feature is the sliding LCD mounted on the back of the camera, which is probably going to invoke polarized rants of "like it / love it." What's for sure is that you won't be able to do the video blogging thing and turn the LCD around on itself with this camcorder.[Thanks, Ty H.]

This is like the second or third product this week that Best Buy has on the shelves, that Engadget says is not available yet.

maybe i'm missing something, but wouldn't "love it / hate it" be a little more polarized than "like it / love it." ?

Anyway, I am still undecided on whether to applaud JVC for denying gazillions of self-vloggers the integrated live monitor or whether to complain that it's not there.
