Ministry of Sound's latest boombox plays nice with iPod, flash cards
Merely months after doling out a fresh new DAP, Ministry of Sound is making sure the boombox lovers get their fix, too. Available now, the MOSMC1319P micro system includes a pair of two-way speakers and boasts 20 total watts of amplification, a built-in iPod dock, FM tuner, USB interface, VFD function display, a preset equalizer, and a wireless remote. Furthermore, this unit plays nice with MP3 / WMA / WAV and even handles audio stored on your SD or MMC flash card. It's all yours for £87.99 ($177).

i find this completely pointless to have. Isnt the point of having an iPod or MP3 player is so u can listen to tunes while on the go?
dont expect to carry the boombox around u too, because it will be sitting next to ur computer where u can also listen to music without these......accessories.
People also use this at work were they are not allowed to plug in external devices to their PCs and they don't want ear phones glued to their ears all day.
That's not a boombox, that's just a cheap stereo!
Ministry of Sound... that name is so 1984-esque
I think ministry of Sound Is a Record Label
... or simply british. does "department of sound" suit you better?
It's the name of a tourist-trap nightclub in London - much too commercial for my tastes, I only go when I'm on the guest list. However they do have a good PA in the main dance floor.
Output power 2 x 10w RMS
soooo sad.
a boombox by definition is a 1-piece unit, usually having the ability to be battery powered, and they are portable. this is a shelf system or mini stereo...sloppy sloppy sloppy. isn't anyone babysitting engadget writers these days?
