Kam Kam Mobile Alert detects GSM calls, wags tail

We've seen this type of toy before, but never in such a plush and cute form factor. The Kam Kam Mobile Alert -- that's the cat version -- and Don Don Mobile Alert detect the GSM radio on your handset from up to five feet away when a call or message comes in. Instead of blinking or spinning, Kitty or Rover will wag its tail for 15 seconds to let you know if your ringer happens to be silent. The desktop critter has a handy spot to plonk your handset in when in use, but sadly doesn't offer a charger option. The holiday season is approaching and this would likely make a cute gift, and at $30 a pop, it shouldn't break the bank.

Sirs,
Fake dogs are creepy and silly.

the best alarm for a call is to place the phone by your computer's speakers.

Too bad that doesn't work with CDMA users like Verizon Wireless or Sprint subscribers...

So cute! To bad the linked store only sells the cat one. Anyone know where I can get the dog one? It'd be so cute if I could have a matching pair with my friend.
Of course, it wouldn't work with my current phone, anyway. I love Helio, but this is yet another reason why I wish it was GSM. :'(

I'll just put the phone on vibrate, stick it in my rear pocket, and let my own tail wag when I get a call. That's cuter!

This is just too cute! Yes pointless really, but perfect for me. I really wanted the dog and the cat but the link to the store only sold the cat version. Hmmm...I guess thats because it's a cat store, but I gave them a call and they are more than happy to special order the "Don Don Dog" version. So I ordered it and it's on it's way. Yeah! All ya gotta do is ask :)

These types of phone accessories work too well. When there is any signal coming from or to the phone at all, they activate. Every 30 min or so the phone pings the network, and it will activate.
