Nikon doesn't look to have gone very far to find a new President and CEO for its Nikon Inc. subsidiary, with the company announcing today that Yasuyuki Okamoto, a 29-year veteran of the company, will be stepping into both roles. That still leaves Michio Kariya as the top boss of parent-company Nikon Corp, with Okamoto responsible for North, Central and South American markets. Most recently, Okamoto served as the general manager and operating officer at Nikon's Marketing headquarters for its Imaging unit, with him previously serving as general manager of corporate communications for Nikon Corporation in Japan, and president of Nikon France SA before that.
Look at that blank, soul-deprived stare....he's empty inside.
Really? He looks like a decent guy to me. Not like some of these hyped-up a$$holes who smile for the cameras but treat their own employees like dirt.
i can see the soulless stare in Charlie She...I mean Yasuyuki Okamoto eyes.
Nikon rules. I bet he's wearing ninja pants and is holding a sword. D3 FTW!!!
more like the look of 1000000 nikon surveillance camera's monitoring him.
29 years old :| so young to be a veteran, lol
I think he's been with the company for 29 years.
He looks like a fun-loving chap.

Duhhhhh...Ok.
are YOU the CEO of Nikon? didn't think so. I'd buy a camera off that face.
Actually, with that look, and background color, I figured it was his driver's license photo.
What DMV offices have you been to that offer you a backlight glow for your driver license photo?
Ahah, trick question, there never was a backlight. Yasuyuki Okamoto just glows like that.
Kinda like Leeroy from the Last Dragon, and Canon would be Sho 'Nuff.
We all remember how that fight ended.
He looks mildly surprised and slightly amused.
"I'm the C.E.O. , really? hmm, ok, won't argue with that. I think yer daft though."
Hopefully he'll put some fire under the arses of the customer support teams.
I had a bunch of problems with my D70 SLR and I can't even get a response from the tech support teams. Really bummed that I deviated from my love of Canon products to buy this thing!!!
C'mon young Yasuyuki Okamoto-san. Let's get it right!
