Nintendo's free Wiimote sleeve keeps it sticky
Nothing says "hello big boy" like a transparent silicone sleeve for your gear. Especially when it's free. Nintendo knows this, and is offering a sticky wrap for your Wii Remote. Just call Nintendo at 1-866-431-8367 or hit the read link to order yours on-line. Combine it with their chunky replacement strap and you'll have class action lawyers screaming their "safeword" in no time.

hopefully my order went through, took several tries.
Inputted serial number.
next screen inputted name/address.
next screen, clicked confirmation button.
then got a blank white screen. refreshed, and still blank white screen.
Yea I got the same thing and when I went to put my order in again, it gave me a message saying it will be shipped to you shortly

uk application form
Yeah my Wii also received a message pointing me to the UK form, however I live in the Netherlands and that form only lets me select UK or Ireland.. In other words, I don't think I can get one.. yet.
Oh well, don't really need one anyway. I'm not even using the wrist strap, my hands are sticky enough themselves :p Seriously, I really don't get how people can manage to throw this thing so hard it goes straight through their LCD screen...
wow... free? that's some awesome after sales customer service... now i have one more incentive to buy the wii!
hats off to u man, nintendo!
Looks like an American & Canada offer only, no love for the other half a million users then?
For this offer's US order page, it appears that firefox is not supported (you will only see a blank screen).
I tried placing the order a second time with IE (yuck) and it went through immediately.
After I submitted my request using Firefox I was redirected to a Nintendo shopping site error page. I switched over to IE and submitted the request again and it said that I already placed a request.
Huh... I bet there are no issues if you use the Opera browser.
Silicone, not Silicon.
hey look its a trojan magun condom XXL lol
Oh no love for scandinavians ?
Euro users can get them here - http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/22690.html
I see no Finland :(
yeah, sorry about that, I didn't confirm the comment so it shouldn't have posted.
Oh, Thomas Ricker! -So nasty!
Oh come on, what about me here in Sweden?
Woo hoo, we get one in the UK too!
Ah, Muhammad is right, UK & Ireland request page is here: http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/22690.html
Yeehaw, I just ordered my 4! But...I got the same white screen confirmation that the first poster reported. Hopefully it went through...we'll see, I suppose.
nice I just saw these over on http://www.freestufftimes.com
Thanks for the heads up Engadget. I will be ordering 4 of these. I bought some of the black silicone sleeves at Target, but when I went to change the batteries in the Wiimotes the silicone split apart on a couple of them. It will be nice to get these free as a replacement since I already spent $9/each for those other ones.
I heard this accessory is for the new "Gallagher: Front Row" video game, where you use your Wii to control the Sledge-O-Matic. No?
Great joke! 20 years ago.
rogier.schuitema: the Dutch order form is here: http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/22789.html
So, just one question: Why would anyone want one of these? Do you long for the feel of silicone against your skin while you play? I've never thought "boy, I sure would like my game controller to be squishy".
But maybe that's just me. Heh.
It's free, why WOULDN'T you want it?
it looks like a penis.
you know you're thinking it.
you sir, have a very messed up penis
For us in latin america it's a matter of going to the nearest retailer and go get it. But must wait until October 20th. I received the message in my Wii this morning.
Why the hell does it has me how many I want if it refuses to send me more than one? despite that Ive bought 2 other Wiimotes (as far as I know, Nintendo is still the only maker for Wiimotes, so its not a 3rd party rip-off either.
