The port allows video signal out, so why bother making a "hole" for the iPod screen? Why carve the hole exactly for one type of iPod and ignore all other types? Why the giant remote indeed? Why the silly name?
The port allows video signal out, so why bother making a "hole" for the iPod screen? Because the iPod only outputs the actual video- navigation is still done on the iPod screen.
Why carve the hole exactly for one type of iPod and ignore all other types? Because it's been out since before the classic and others became available.
Why the giant remote indeed? Because you can hook it up to your tv and use it in your living room.
Why the silly name? Because it's an iPod accessory. :-p
