If he really wanted to be clever, he'd invent a voice-actuated remote where you'd say the channel you want ("HBO HD", for example), and the remote would understand that that's channel 318 and send the appropriate remote codes to the cable box or TV.
That is a good idea. Hmmm. Well, not really for me though. I guess it might be helpful for those people who use voice activated dialing on their cell phones...
